We are looking for an enthusiastic and motivated mid-career Hydrogeologist, Environmental or GeoEnvironmental Engineer or Scientist who wants to develop their remediation skills, progress their career and to contribute to the success and expansion of our Sydney, Melbourne or Brisbane teams. The is a full-time position.

 

You will be joining a diverse team of highly qualified professionals, which include industry leaders in soil and groundwater remediation, contaminant fate and transport and soil vapour intrusion. You will be collaboratively delivering projects for clients who own some of the most challenging sites in the country. Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Fieldwork including soil, soil vapour, surface water and groundwater sampling, drilling and contractor oversight, and remediation treatment system operation and maintenance
  • Well installation, aquifer testing, and groundwater monitoring
  • Chemical data and contaminant fate & transport evaluation
  • Groundwater and soil remedy evaluation, cost estimation, design calculations, and implementation
  • Data analysis, including preparing maps, tables, and figures
  • Preparation of technical reports, letters, memoranda, plans, specifications, and proposals
  • Client liaison and project management

Based on your current level of experience, you may be asked to take on task-level or project management responsibilities.

  • Training: This position requires health and safety, first aid and other on-the-job training. We also offer professional development opportunities including in-house seminars, webinars, and mentoring, that allow our employees to build the technical and business skills necessary to become successful consultants. 
  • Fieldwork: Up to 60%
  • Overnight travel: Up to 30%

Education and Licensure

  • Bachelor's degree in geology or environmental, civil, geotechnical or chemical engineering. (required)

Skills, Experience and Qualifications

  • Approx. 5 to 7 years of direct environmental consulting experience.
  • Experience with multi-disciplinary project teams
  • Demonstrated success in teamwork and ability to lead projects
  • Effective communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Ability to succeed in a fast-paced consulting environment, handling multiple project assignments, meeting deadlines and budgets, and traveling to client facilities as needed
  • Prior research experience in contaminated media or remediation technology (preferred)
  • Experience with software such as ArcView, Microsoft Access, Modflow, and/or EVS (preferred) 
  • Licensed Asbestos Assessor (preferred)
  • Valid NSW, VIC or QLD driver’s license and satisfactory driving record for business travel (required)
  • CEnvP-SC (working towards obtaining - desirable)
