Geosyntec has an exciting opportunity for a Project Finance Administrator to join our Sydney Team. We seek a motivated Administrator who can look after finance administration and project lifecycle but also manage the office.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

This role will give you the opportunity to:

  • Support the office, project managers and senior management in all Geosyntec offices
  • Proposal and Project set up
  • Assisting with Purchase Order setup and maintenance (including submitting supplier invoices)
  • Monthly Invoicing cycle
  • Client Purchase Order reviews
  • Timesheet reporting
  • Tracking account payable and receivables
  • Purchase Order / Expense Reconciliation / Supplier Management
  • Inbox Management – Geosyntec Admin & Personal
  • General office administration
    • Stationery & printing consumables, post & couriers, catering, kitchen supplies, building management or real estate liaison etc
  • Site Onboarding / Medicals / Travel requests / Document control

Education and Licensure

  • A minimum three (3) years of progressively responsible experience in project administration, preferably in a professional services firm
  • A Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college with a major in accounting or finance is preferred; however, significant work-related experience may be considered

Skills, Experience and Qualifications

  • Experience in Professional Services Firm (Engineering Preferred)
  • Experience with multi-disciplinary project teams. (preferred)
  • Experience within Finance, Accounting or similar
  • Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable (required)
  • Project administration experience. (preferred)
  • Invoicing experience. (preferred)
  • Knowledge of JDE, Oracle, SAP, Coupa or other accounting software. (required)
  • Effective communication skills, both verbal and written. (required)
  • Ability to succeed in a fast-paced consulting environment.
  • Ability to demonstrate strong organisational skills.
  • Ability to work with multiple time zones and team members over multiple offices.
  • Experience with Microsoft Suite. (e.g. MS Word, Excel)
